How do I activate my card?

 

Click the activate button, which will open a window. Enter the Unique 16-Digit Number on the front of Your Card - and click ACTIVATE. Your card will be activated within minutes after the activation process.

 

You will then receive a SMS with a unique secret PIN. Use your unique PIN when withdrawing cash at ATMs and when buying in-store

 

 

 

How do I load money onto my card?

 

EFT

 

You may load money onto your MG Black card via EFT from any bank. Payments via EFT are at no cost to the

MG Black card holder.

 

You will be notified via SMS of deposits and transactions over R100. Always ensure that you use your 16-digit MG Black card number as your reference number. Please note: It could take up to 48 hours for some EFT transfers to reflect.

 

CASH

 

Cash deposits may be made at most Major Banks. It is very important to always use your 16-digit MG Black card number as your reference number.

How do I start using my card?

 

Your MG Black card carries a MasterCard logo, so you may use it anywhere MasterCard is accepted, locally and internationally. Because it is a MG Black Prepaid card, the spending limit is equal to the value you have loaded or deposited on the car.

 

Each time you use your card, the purchase amount is automatically deducted from your card balance. The transaction will be declined if the funds are insufficient.

 

 

Use your unique PIN whenever you are withdrawing cash or buying in-store. If you forgot your PIN or want to change it, simply call the MG Black Call Centre on 0861 647 687.

 

 

 

 

Can I make mobile transactions using my card?

 

Mobile transactions include instant money transfer, prepaid airtime and electricity purchases, as well as being able to check balances. Simply dial *120*9090# to access Mobile Banking. Please note: You are automatically registered for mobile banking within 24 hours of activating your account.
